Holiday How-Tos

As always, Clubessential is here for you during this holiday season with tips and tools on how to adapt in a contactless environment. We’ve put together all of the resources needed to help you communicate with your members about holiday events, holiday reservation schedules, and creating to-go menu options.

Managing Reservations & Holiday Events

If your Club uses any of the Clubessential time-slot reservations products (e.g., Tee Times, A la Carte Dining, etc.), be sure to block off the days your Club is closed, and use the custom notifications built into the system to send cancellation notifications to any member who might have a standing reservation scheduled.

We also have the ability to modify tee times and dining schedules to accommodate new times and spacing. Please reach out to Support for assistance making those changes.

    • Hiding Pages or Reservation Systems – This link will detail how to hide certain pages to events or reservation systems while the club is working on a modified schedule.
    • Closing or Altering Hours – If your dining room hours will be changing due to holidays or closed for small holiday parties, click here to utilize the Block tool within Dining Reservations to update the available hours.
    • Holiday Schedules – Do you plan to alter your normal dining schedules for the holiday season to allow for more open times, or potentially close days for the season? Click here to learn how to apply dining schedules for these changes.
    • Utilizing Indoor Common Areas – In effort to expand your dining options for members, you may want to consider converting a common area to accommodate small groups or added seating for dining.

Holiday To-Go Meals

Have you considered offering to-go meals for those members that either can’t make it to the dining room or offering catering services for families that wish to have small gatherings without all the prep work? We have the tools to help make this a successful and relaxing holiday for your membership.

    • Mobile Ordering – If your club is utilizing our Office Solution and Mobile App, Mobile Ordering is a great way to have members place their carry out orders to be ready for pick up.  This could also be a great feature to offer a holiday catering menu.     • Take Out Forms – If you are not currently utilizing our Office solution, we can assist with a take out form on the website for Holiday meals.  This example shows popular options for to go orders.

Maximizing Your Member Communications

With the Holiday Season upon us, there are multiple ways to message members about the great offerings at your club.  You may want to highlight an event in a pop up message that all members see upon logging in.  You may also want to send a push notification about changes to holiday hours.  See below for various tools that can be used to communicate in advance and real time for increased exposure.

    • First Impression – Your website comes equipped with a tool that allows you to display important messages to members upon logging in, but before they get to your private website’s home page. Click here for an overview of the First Impression tool.
    • Public Pop Up Messaging – Please see an example of how your club can utilize a pop up message to announce changes in hours or a link to a dining take out form. Click here to view an example of a Public Pop Up Message.
    • Blast Email Engine – Your website’s email engine allows you to churn out high volumes of emails that can be easily targeted to all members, or targeted subsets of the membership. Click here for an overview of the New Email Editor.
    • How To Manage Members that Opt Out of Email Communication – Members have the ability to opt out of receiving email blasts, and some members may have incorrect email addresses. Click here for information on how to manage and troubleshoot email delivery issues.
    • Push Notifications – If your Club has the Clubessential Mobile App, you can send push notifications to members who’ve downloaded the app. Click here for an overview of Push Notifications.
