Gear your accounting system, point of sales system, and printers up for opening season.

Who doesn’t love a good Spring Cleaning? It’s that time of year to refresh and renew, which also means Spring Cleaning your Accounting system. Before your club opens its doors and begins buzzing with activities and reservations, clean out that dusty Office Accounting system to make sure you’re ahead this season. Below are a few tips to get you in squeaky clean condition for the new season:

  1. Before your season starts, be sure to set up printers and terminals with these setup instructions. Since printers are typically unplugged during the off season, you will want to clear out print queues that may have accumulated so the printer does not spit out old tickets that have been piling up.
  2. Check print configurations for food and beverage items so that tickets are printed in appropriate areas to ensure tickets are being received. Check out our Prep Printing Video for a review on configuration.
  3. If you have new menus, be sure to review screen groups so you’re ready to debut those new dishes. Here is a Help Video to review Screen Group management. You will also want to make sure the new items are in Office so you’re ready to process those orders using the POS system. Review the Items hierarchy Here.
  4. Hiring new employees? Deactivate any old employees from Office to keep your system up to date with only active employees. Please review our setup instructions on Employees.
  5. If any new Areas or Departments were created be sure to check your employee security settings to ensure the appropriate users have access to these. Get started here.
  6. Going unplugged this year? If you’re using a tablet for your POS, check out these set-up instructions to get started.
  7. Do a Retail Inventory Check. Go through a full inventory count using the Inventory Count Wizard.
