Over the last year we’ve profiled clubs and individuals who exemplify the Next Generation of Leaders in the industry. Through the last few weeks, our definition of leadership has certainly expanded.

Charitable acts, mobilizing to support employees, and identifying new creative ways to stay connected with members have flooded our feed. Below are just a few of the Next Generation Leaders we’ve seen respond to, and lead the way through, these uncertain times.

Columbia Country Club

Columbia Country Club has donated roughly 700 lbs. of food to Nourish Now, an organization that is working to end hunger by providing food to people of all ages and living situations local to Maryland, DC and Virginia area. In addition, CCC is putting together a plan to assist their staff with food and necessities that are scarce throughout their communities.

The Rainier Club

The Rainier Club has identified a fun way to continue the social engagement their members enjoy, and also need now more than ever. On Wednesday they host Cellar Stories and encourage virtual happy hours among their members. Their bartenders are also posting instructional videos for mixing up everyone’s favorite club cocktails.

Tumble Creek Club

Just because members are exercising responsibility by remaining at home, doesn’t mean they can’t brush up on their golf fundamentals. Tumble Creek Club is posting short videos from their golf pro. There’s no time like the present to work on that short game.

Mizner Country Club

Mizner Country Club has taken a proactive approach in adapting to the ever-changing environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. “The health and welfare of our members and employees is our number one priority, as we consistently adjust our operations to adapt to today’s ever-changing environment,” said General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Larry Savvides. “Our Board of Directors and management team are determined during these difficult times to help our members in any way possible. So, in addition to making our menu available to our members for curbside pick-up or delivery, we have created a shopping experience for them to purchase essential items.”

University Club of San Francisco

Members and employees alike are focusing forward. University Club of San Francisco recognized the opportunity to introduce their staff to the members by having staff identify the first place they plan to visit once the shelter in place is lifted.
