The Vinoy® Renaissance Resort & Golf Club Launches New Website and Sees Significant Results
The Vinoy ® Renaissance Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida, shifted its digital marketing partnership from a local agency that did not specialize in the private club niche, to Clubessential, and has since seen great results.
The Vinoy ® Renaissance Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida, recently debuted its new club membership online presence www.vinoyclub.com/, designed and developed by Clubessential, the leading provider of web-based guest and member communication software to the resort and private club industries. The Vinoy shifted its digital marketing partnership from a local agency that did not specialize in the private club niche, to Clubessential, in order to capitalize on the private club expertise the company has built from partnering with 1000+ club and resort clients.

The new online platform helps the Club attract potential members to experience the Renaissance brand online, increasing their desire to experience the Club in-person. Additionally, The Vinoy club members enjoy an always-on connection to the Club, increasing their awareness of activities and events, and driving club utilization.

    “We launched the guest-facing side of the website on June 26, 2013, and within the first few weeks I received 46 inquiries which converted to 4 new memberships,” states Lance Moyer, Membership Director at The Vinoy ® Renaissance Resort & Golf Club. “We’ve seen a tenfold increase in website traffic, which has translated to increased incremental spending by members, due in large part to the fact that they can now easily book event reservations from an interactive online calendar. The website quickly paid for itself,” Moyer notes.

Clubessential’s Digital Marketing Agency and project management team partnered with Lance to ensure the new online presence hit the mark and resonated with the Club’s target audience. “Renaissance is a unique brand and we wanted to carry that brand to the web via an online partner who specializes in both design and the underlying integration technology,” said Moyer. “Partnering with Clubessential helped us achieve those initiatives. The Clubessential employees are extremely responsive, and the company’s technology is very flexible in its ability to interface with our back-office accounting and POS system.”

The new Vinoy Club website features a mobile optimized version, which is especially appealing to a younger generation that’s accustomed to accessing services on the go from their smart phones and tablets. “We have a young membership base with over 1000 children at the Club,” added Moyer. “Younger members are accustomed to using online services, especially from mobile devices. Clubessential’s Mobile Services solution has been a huge hit for us, mainly for the younger members we were targeting. They love accessing events and their bills from their smart phones.”
