New Product Launch:
Axis Editor 2.0
Clubessential announces the release of the Axis Editor 2.0, a significant product enhancement that expands our clients' design capabilities. The new Axis Editor will be launched to all Clubessential clients, free of charge, at 9:00 am EST on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Extensive changes have been made to the Axis Editor framework that greatly reduce processing time, increasing user productivity. In addition, the new Axis Editor has greater compatibility and will now work with a wide range of browsers and operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
The Clubessential Studio Design Group has won the Boardroom Magazine's Website Design Firm of the Year award for the last two years and builds, each year, over 100 totally custom designs that match the unique culture of each club. Once these high quality designs are set live, club administrators must keep content fresh if they want their website to be visited frequently by the membership; this is where the convenience and advanced functionality of the Axis Editor becomes important.
Clubessential's Axis Editor makes website content management quick and easy for even the busiest club administrator. Here are some of the main Axis Editor features, including new capabilities in the 2.0 version:
- Edit In-place - Simply "click to edit" any element that needs to be changed.
- What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) - The Axis Editor Design View allows editing while simultaneously viewing the finished product.
- HTML Cleansing - Prior versions of the editor could build up redundant HTML after a series of editing sessions. The 2.0 version eliminates redundant HTML tags as it works, making the final version much smaller, faster and free of quirks related to conflicting tags. Most users will never see any HTML - they will just notice that pages display faster and better.
- StyleWizard - This new feature allows administrators to make custom modifications to formatting within specified areas, including numbering and bullets, even custom designed bullets.
- Web-based Cross-platform Editor - Club administrators can update their website anytime, anywhere, using any computer, thanks to a greater degree of compatibility with many browsers and with the Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
- SmartLinks - The one-click SmartLink Manager allows club administrators to post hyperlinks directly to club event pages, news articles, or documents without searching for the exact URL. The new 2.0 SmartLink buttons are easier to use, with auto text selection.
- Erase-All - A new Erase-All button makes starting from scratch easy.
- Update Logs & Drafts - Powerful draft management, which now works with HTML mode as well as design mode, can reverse any change made on the website, even reverting to the content as it appeared months or years ago.
- Template Manager - Stock templates are available for emails, calendar posts, or new webpages, and club administrators can design their own unique templates for use throughout the website. New "wireframe" templates allow assembly from component parts, greatly increasing the range and flexibility of templates. In prior versions of the Axis Editor, templates were stored in a simple list, which, after heavy usage, became cluttered and difficult. The new Template Manager organizes templates in hierarchical folders, much like photos are organized in the Image Explorer.
- Color Palette - The Axis Editor color tools keep track of an organization's branded colors, making them quick to find and easy to use. The 2.0 version provides larger samples of colors to choose from and four different ways of defining colors.
- SandBox - Every club administrator can now test the new editor in their SandBox, a temporary work area located under the CE tab.

How to Multiply the Value of Your Website by Ten
If you could reach your members with announcements about upcoming events, services, and reminders about the club experiences you offer – ten times as often as you do today – would that make a difference in the level of participation at your club?
Suppose you had a way to communicate with members that, announcement per announcement, cost 50 times less than what your newsletter costs – would that be worth exploring?
Newly available technology can deliver this kind of revolution in your member marketing efforts. To show you how, we have created a short presentation (14 minutes) that explains the technology and how it works. It shows how you can tap into existing communications that you already have with members, vastly increasing their awareness of your club and associated events and services.
If you haven't watched this presentation yet, be sure to do so today. The revolution in club communication discussed in the presentation is taking shape around the country at one club after another, and your club could be the next to experience these Real Results.
