"Hosting," for Clubessential, means a great deal more than simply installing a server and attaching it to the Internet. Clubessential takes very seriously the fact that over 800 of the world's most prestigious clubs rely on Clubessential to provide uninterrupted, responsive Internet communications, email and various kinds of reservations such as tee time reservations. As a result, Clubessential has built a hosting environment that is robust and safe.

- Over two terabytes of high speed disk storage
- A BigIP load balancing appliance
- Multiple Juniper Netscreen 50 firewall appliances
- A Barracuda Spam filtering email appliance
- Symantec Antivirus Enterprise Edition
- SSL security with a certificate from Equifax Secure Certificate Authority
- Virtual Private Network tunnels for communication from office to hosting center
- Systems are coded using ASP .Net and VB .Net
The hosting co-location facility, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, is managed by Datascape, a division of Harland Financial. Thumbprint identification is required to enter this facility, which also hosts computers from well known banks. It includes multiple high speed pathways to the Internet, backup power from batteries and diesel generators, and constant monitoring for network performance. |
