Calendars can be very useful for organizing activities in time, but only if they are uncluttered and located within the context of related information. Axis calendars have the following features:
- Any number of calendars can appear throughout the website, including mini-calendars that can be mixed with other content on the same page.
- Views include: Day; Week; Month; Year; Upcoming List; 5-day; 7-day; Horizontal; Vertical; Grid
- Easy mass entry of multiple items or repeating items. Ability to modify individual instances of a repeating item without affecting the group.
- Each calendar can be filtered by area(s) of interest
- Each item can include a full graphical description or “poster” created using the advanced editor. Can be based on over 100 stock templates, custom templates, stock photography, etc.
- Outlook integration – users can transfer a calendar item to their personal outlook calendar.
- Online event registration (see Event Management). Includes the ability to ask custom questions of each registrant. Automatic email notification to both registrant and staff.
- Reserved events are flagged, so users can see their personal reservations at a glance or as a list in their personal profile.
- A list of event registrants is visible to other users (optional by event)
- Smart-Linking jumps users directly to event sign-up page from email link or other website page. “Two-click” link creation from editor makes SmartLinks easy to add.
- Emails, text messages and telephone calls can be sent to event registrants as a pre-defined group.
- A "print friendly" version of the calendar allows members to post a copy on their wall.

Many clubs and organizations need to allow for online self-registration for events as well as off-line call-in or walk in registrations. The two key advantages of such a system are: 1) members can register at any time without getting telephone busy signals; 2) staff members share a common list of registrants.
- Every calendar event can have an elaborate graphical poster with a “sign up” button.
- Registrants receive confirmation numbers and reminder emails.
- Staff members can register for those who call in or walk in, with positive identification of the member in question (e.g., a directory lookup avoids mixing up the “Smith”s).
- Custom fields allow for capture of information about each reservation.
- Optionally, the current list of registrants can be shown on the sign-in page. This is particularly useful for events such as poker games, where members will want to know who else is playing.
- Emails, text messages or telephone calls can be sent at any time, now or in the future, to the then-registered list.
- Archives of registrants for past events can be used for marketing purposes. Export any list to Excel, including additional data from the marketing database.
